This is a narrative film I shot for a colleague as part of her AFI submission. We shot it over 2 weekends.
It was an extremely tight budget and restrictive timeframe project, which caused it to be just me on my own on the production side.
I worked as DP, Gaffer and PD for the film.
Wearing many hats was definitely stressful, but it worked out.
I hope this not only highlights my understanding of film narrative, but also my eye for mood, atmosphere, color, and production design.
This is another narrative piece we worked on, took us about a year to finish, between trying to get everyone on schedule, and was shot between Palm Beach, FL and L.A.
I worked as a gaffer and Production designer for this film.
I tend to do both of those jobs combined when working at a small scale, since I like to be able to work close enough with the Director and Cinematographer.
This way, I can ensure I am properly bringing their vision to life as well as lighting to reflect the proper atmosphere for my design.
